Northern Wildcrafted Fireweed Tea
 
Each bag of Wildhaven Hills Ivan Chai begins in the wild fireweed (Chamaenerion angustifolium) patches of rural Alberta, where the leaves are hand-harvested during their brief summer season. The leaves are then hand-rolled, fermented over a number of days, carefully toasted, and packed in small batches. The result is a smooth, naturally caffeine-free wild tea with a rich, mellow character — available only as long as the year’s harvest lasts.

A traditional Russian beverage, Ivan Chai has been an important player in the world stage for hundreds of years!  Boasting a rich, smooth, fruity-floral taste, our fermented fireweed tea is also packed full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals that naturally support the endocrine system and strengthen immunity.
 
Our tea is hand harvested in Wildhaven Hills’ wild boreal/aspen forest. Traditional methods are used to oxidize, ferment and dry the tea before packaging.
